The scope of work involved purging operations across multiple locations within the facility, each with specific flow rates and temperature requirements. The scope of work was extensive and included nitrogen purging of the Mole Sieve, Defrost Header, and Mercury Bed pipelines. Each location required careful planning and execution to meet specific flow rate and temperature requirements over a defined duration. The project was designed to operate continuously over a 28-day period, ensuring that all sections were purged effectively within the scheduled time frame.
The project included purging activities at three critical locations within the facility:
Mole Sieve - Purging between 15,000 scfh to 450,000 scfh at approximately 125˚F, with an estimated total consumption of 15 mmscf.
Defrost Header - Purging between 15,000 scfh to 600,000 scfh at approximately 125˚F, with an estimated total consumption of 26 mmscf.
Mercury Bed - Purging between 15,000 scfh to 450,000 scfh at approximately 125˚F, with an estimated total consumption of 10 mmscf.
